Mike Wingrove

Michael "Mike" Wingrove, started tracing the origins of his WINGROVE surname at an early age.

The impetus was visits to his Grandmother Stella (nee Butcher) Wingrove and great grandmother Mary Jane Butcher (nee Kinsley), mainly in their rural setting. These were marvelous gatherings, radically different  from his city upbringing in Brantford, Ontario.

Over the years, the facts gathered, greatly outgrew, the single construction page with the mere beginnings of his family tree. Time was spent, peering at copies of microfilm, trying to stitch together the fabric of the Wingrove name in Ontario, Canada and originating in England.

With access to the internet, his interest peaked and he started on a very large repository of Wingroves of the Wide World. This grew with help from many other researchers, worldwide.
